About Our Logo
The Big Bear Brown name is a nod to my childhood nickname “Bear” and the energy I carry in the world. People knew me and my dad as Big Bear and Little Bear in our family and around the neighborhood. I have alot of “bear” qualities. I can take up alot of space. I am always curious and often playful. I feel deeply connected to forests and nature, and am fiercely protective of what I love. I identify as a Bear in the queer community and absolutely love honey. I am now Big Bear Brown.
In the logo, it is significant to feel into the imagery of nature.
The Oak tree image is tall and strong to provide cover and protection. The tree leans to the right, supporting the bear to move forward into the more vulnerable open space.
The moon/sun above represents the wisdom of my parents shining down. The divine feminine of my mother’s energy in the moon inspires and lifts one's eyes towards the horizon. Looking towards cooling openness and opportunity in the sky. As a sun, the image shines down masculine and warming energy illuminating a path forward.
The bear represents me as it does the clients I work with. We are supported in nature and guided with inspiration to move confidently through vulnerability into new and exciting spaces.
